Clinical Somatics for Sports or Movement Clubs
Whole Body Movement is offering a FREE workshop to sports and movement clubs.
Repetitive or high intensity movements can take their toll on our bodies. Clinical Somatics teaches us how we create movement habits from continued use and how these can lead to chronic pain and tension over time.
With a regular somatic practice, we can become more efficient in our movements, improve our breathing, increase our performance, and accelerate our recovery from training and injury.

What to expect
This can be a 1 or 2 hour workshop and we will start with a short introduction to the principles of Clinical Somatics. Then we will put these principles into practice with somatic movements designed to bring awareness to how we move and how in control we are of our muscles.
What will be taught
Many conditions of undiagnosed pain are functional in nature and can be addressed through re-education of our nervous system. We will teach what Sensory Motor Amnesia is and how it develops, as well as how to pandiculate effectively to relieve chronic pain and tension. Clinical Somatics is an educational practice that helps us make lasting change.
When you commit to doing the practice and apply what you've learnt by taking action in your everyday life, real transformation occurs.
